Top Things To Do : New York City

There are infinite numbers of attractions in New York, each arguably as good as the next. So I’ve had a tough time narrowing down this list of my favourites. Hope you enjoy!

Top of the Rock

Unparalleled 360 degree views of New York! Beautiful clear skies facilitated some very memorable photo opportunities (once again, see my Instagram pics). There’s a lot of debate concerning whether or not Top of the Rock is better than the Empire State Building Observation Deck – in my humble opinion, the Top of the Rock is actually better because despite the Empire State being higher, the Empire State (one of New York’s most iconic buildings) is clearly visible from the Top of the Rock and provides a great focal point for photos.

Highline

The Highline offers superb views of the Hudson River (especially at sunset) and parts of the Manhattan skyline (including the Empire State Building – see my Instagram pic). It really is a unique walk above street level and FREE too!

Yankee Stadium Tour

Informative behind the scenes tour of the stadium belonging to the most famous baseball team in Major League Baseball history, including visits to Memorial Park and the Yankees Museum. (For more info, visit one of my previous posts “Sport in New York”)

American Museum of Natural History

One of the most famous museums in the world, made even more famous by the Night at the Museum film, was definitely near the top of my list before visiting New York and it didn’t disappoint. Easily worth 3 hours or more of your time, there are exhibits that will intrigue everyone.

Central Park

Another of the most iconic attractions in New York, there’s not a film set in New York City that does not feature Central Park. It truly is an oasis among the concrete city of New York, you can even try your hand at Ice Skating or even visit a zoo.

I’d really like to hear everybody else’s opinions, so comment your favourite thing to do in New York!
